Sister Artwork

DIY Art Project by Susan Crowe: I composed a sister poem for a client (Old-English style) and conveyed name meaning. Debbie is Hebrew for 'kind words.' I then painted an unfinished plague white, which I purchased at Michael's and slightly crackled for a Shabby Chic look. Poem printed on (Lenox) Vintage-look stationery I found in a scrapbook store which I afterwards discovered could hold up to Decoupaging. For this process, I used a regimen of Elmer's Glue, allowing layers to dry thoroughly in between which in addition, double-dutied as a sealant. For a finishing touch I affixed an embellishment using a glue gun. Final accessory: Small black easel, preferably distressed, for displaying plaque. We will post more projects from time to time.
